I finally stopped writing about AI game tools and just made the thing.
There are now two links:
Corporate site (completely fake, deliberately clean and corporate):
https://www.bad-weather-games.com/
The actual game:
https://postmortem.bad-weather-games.com/
The game is called POST-MORTEM. You play as the founder of Bad Weather Games. Three people, a converted dentist’s office above a laundromat, $100,000 in the bank. Two years ago you left a big studio after shipping something you weren’t proud of. This was supposed to be the correction.
You get 21 decisions. Money and Happiness are visible the whole time. The third stat stays hidden until the end. That third stat is Morality, judged through a traditional Catholic and Christian lens. At the very end the game also takes a guess at your MBTI based on the pattern of your choices.
Earlier decisions permanently close later ones. No warnings. The choices are connected and based on real studio bullshit — crunch, publisher pressure, monetisation, layoffs, creative compromise. The game keeps score and judges you when it’s over.
I used AI heavily for the decision tree and structure, then cleaned it up and wrapped it in a fake corporate website that pretends Bad Weather Games is a successful, ethical, player-first studio with 110 people and 4.1 million monthly active users. The contrast is the point.
This is the first time I actually finished one of these AI experiments instead of just writing about the process. It’s still rough, but it’s playable from start to ending.
Go play it. See how much of yourself you’re willing to trade for the next milestone.
